Thank you for the thoughts. I think my post certainly agrees with your first point - I'm not expert at FP!

I also agree that the functional/closure way of "class" behavior is complex. I find the class syntatic sugar to be much more readable.

Perhaps it is just a matter of what individuals are used to, but I like Java style readability over Perl style syntatic cryptography. 😉
